Private Duty Home Care

Private Duty Home Care is designed to meet our client's individualized need for personal care and safety.  Certified Nursing Assistants or Homemakers are assigned to provide various personal care services, as individually assessed, within the client's personal home.  All Private Duty caregivers work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse employed by Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association.

Why use Private Duty services?  Private Duty Home Care can provide peace of mind, companionship, security, dependability, and respite.  Through the provision of supportive services, Private Duty Home Care enables the incapacitated to retain their pride, independence, and dignity ...at home.

AVAILABLE SERVICES:

PERSONAL SERVICES:

Baths/Shampoos/Backrubs

Dressing/Undressing/Grooming

Client Laundry/Linen Changes

Light cleaning of living areas

Meal Preparation/Feeding assistance

Oral Hygiene/Skin Care

Shopping

MEDICALLY RELATED SERVICES:

Assist with self-administration of medications

Assist with ambulation/exercise according to established plan of care within the training limitations of the caregiver

Perform range-of-motion as extensional therapy services are ordered within the training limitations of the caregiver

Report client's condition and changes to Supervisory Registered Nurse

Taking, recording oral and axillary temperatures, pulse and respiration as ordered within the training limitations of the caregiver

CHARGES:

Certified Nursing Assistant/Homemaker

The rate is $16.50 per hour with a minimum of four (4) consecutive hours of coverage in your home.  The rate increases to $19.50 per hour for any time less than four (4) consecutive hours of coverage.  There is an eight (8) consecutive hour minimum time required for night coverage.  If your Certified Nursing Assistant/Homemaker is required to run errands for your personal benefit a charge of 44.5 cents per mile driven is added to your monthly total due.  All SIVNA caregivers are bonded and fully insured by Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association.
